How to Make Matcha: A Simple Recipe
Enjoy the rich, creamy flavor of matcha with this easy-to-follow Soy Matcha Latte recipe.
Ingredients
2g or 2 chashaku scoops of matcha powder
70-75ml of water at 90°C
100/125/150ml Bonsoy Soy Milk (adjust to preference)
Honey or sugar to taste (1/2 - 1 tsp recommended)
Ice cubes (optional for iced matcha latte)
Instructions
- Sift the Matcha: Place two scoops (or 2g) of matcha powder into a matcha bowl. Sifting ensures a smooth texture by eliminating clumps.
- Add Hot Water: Pour 70-75ml of water at 90°C into the bowl.
- Whisk to Froth: Use the bamboo whisk to create a frothy layer by whisking briskly in an "M" motion.
End results: - Combine with Milk: Pour the frothy matcha into a glass. Add your desired amount of Bonsoy soy milk.
- Sweeten and Serve: Stir in honey or sugar to taste. For an iced latte, add ice cubes and serve.
